Woody, Buzz, and all of Andy's loyal toys have spent their whole lives with him. But Andy has grown up and now it's time for him to leave home and go to college, so the toys are packed away. By mistake, the boxes they are in are sent to a daycare center. At first, the toys think that their new home may be a good place to live, with new little ones to enjoy playing with them. But they soon find themselves being torn to pieces by a dozens of uncaring kids. So the toys plan their escape so that they can go back home to Andy's house.
