Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium

The Secret Life of Toys

A young woman learns to love the magical toys in Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium

You’d think that if you worked in a magic toy store, surrounded by spectacular dolls and games that spring to life and do the most wondrous things, that your life would be pretty rosy, no?

Molly works in just such a store, Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium. Misbehaving bouncy balls and zebras that aren’t very good at playing catch should be her worst problems.

But one day this really stiff accountant guy, Henry Weston, comes to the store and tells Molly and her boss, Mr. Magorium, that the store’s books are not in good shape. That means that their records are disorganized, and their accounting practices might even be illegal.

Mr. Weston can’t even see the magic in the store. Whenever he’s around the toys become still.

When Molly asks Mr. Magorium why they even need this guy around, he tells her that he’s planning to leave the store, and that Molly will have to run it all by herself.

You might think that Molly would be thrilled with this news. Now she’ll be in charge! More responsibility! More control! If all works out, maybe even more money!

But Molly’s not thrilled.

She’s not sure she can handle such a special store all on her own. The toys aren’t in the best mood either, which can make things pretty messy.

Yet something tells us Molly will rise to the challenge. And, maybe that stuffy accountant will

find a way to see the magic in Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, too.

Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium opens November 16
