In Stardust, a young man enters a magical land and becomes a mysterious woman’s protector
Funny things can happen when you live next door to a mysterious, magical land. Tristan is a young man who resides in just such a place.

Even
though he makes his home in a relatively normal village in England,
just across a stone wall there is a forbidden land where no one is ever
supposed to go.
But one night Tristan is lying in a field with the beautiful
Victoria when they see a shooting star pass over and land on the other
side of that stone wall.
Tristan boasts that he’ll cross the wall and retrieve that star for
his love, and when Victoria balks (remember, no one is supposed to go
there), Tristan makes good on his promise, jumping over the wall and
into a land that turns out to be even stranger than he could have ever
imagined.

The strangest thing is that he finds the shooting star, but it turns
out that it isn’t a lump of falling rock, like we might have guessed.
Instead, the shooting star is a person, or at least she looks like a
person — a beautiful, young woman.
A lot of other people in the magical
world are looking for the shooting star too. There are four princes who
think that finding her will ensure their place on the throne, and
there’s an evil witch who thinks that the shooting star is the key to
everlasting youth and beauty.
Now bound to the celestial visitor and obliged to help protect her, will Tristan ever find a way home and back to the waiting Victoria?
Stardust opens August 10.
