School Daze
Watch as a spoiled California teen struggles to adjust to life at an English boarding school in Wild Child
As you can see by this picture, 16-year-old Poppy — the star of the new movie Wild Child — is all about living the shallow L.A. lifestyle. Her hair’s dyed blond, her clothes are the most important thing in her life, and she spends a lot more time working on looking good than she does on being a good person.
She’s spoiled, selfish and out of control.
Finally, Poppy does something so stupid and selfish that her dad has had enough. So he sends her away to a boarding school in England, just like the one her mom went to. It straightened out her mother, so her dad’s hoping it will straighten out Poppy as well.
Once Poppy arrives in England she finds that not everyone at the boarding school is very nice either. There are bullies just like everywhere else, but there are also nice girls and cute boys.
If Poppy’s going to survive here, or be allowed to ever return to L.A., she’s going to have to do some serious work on her personality. And it turns out there’s a good reason Poppy’s been such a brat for the past few years. Now, far from home, maybe she can heal the inner scars that made her such a pain to be around.
