Not-so Superdog to the Rescue!

A canine TV star discovers he’s just a regular pooch in the animated film Bolt

Some people have trouble telling fiction from reality. Apparently, so do some dogs. Bolt is a feisty white German Shepherd who plays a superhero pooch on TV. Problem is, Bolt doesn’t realize that all the incredible feats he performs on the boob tube are just Hollywood illusions. He thinks that he really has superpowers.

So when Bolt becomes separated from his handlers, he believes he can still do amazing things. It comes as quite a shock when he finds out he’s just a plain old dog.

But with his new friends — Mittens, an abandoned housecat, and Rhino, a hamster who never ventures outside of his plastic ball — Bolt eventually understands that there’s more to life than being superstrong, or being able to fly. He learns how to be a good friend.

And, in the end, Bolt may find that the power of friendship is all he needs to do something very heroic.

Bolt opens November 21
