The Hobbit: An Unexpected JourneyWe already know Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey doesn’t require an introduction. But what about the thirteen courageous dwarves who accompany Bilbo on his fated quest? One by one the dwarves arrive on Bilbo’s doorstep in Bag End and together they form The Company of Dwarves (the dwarf version of the Fellowship of the Ring), each bringing their own special attribute or skill to the team. They are each described in the J.R.R. Tolkein’s novel though filmmaker Peter Jackson has taken some liberties when it comes to cape colour and costuming, because let’s face it, you can’t embark on a quest in a bright yellow cape and blue hat. That would just be ridiculous.
