Is it just me or has it been too long since we've seen Ryan Gosling light up the big screen? Last year, he was in a handful of interesting, commercial and risky movies, The Ides of March, Crazy, Stupid, Love, and Drive if your memory needs a bit of a jog, but 2012 has seen something of a Gosling drought and, well, we're starting to get a little parched.
Luckily, his period piece crime thriller Gangster Squad will not only quench our thirst but act as the perfect way to welcome 2013 when it hits theatres on January 11.
Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) directs a stacked cast in the form of Gosling, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Nick Nolte, Emma Stone, Michael Peña, Anthony Mackie, Robert Patrick and Giovanni Ribisi, and thanks to FlicksandBits, a slew of new character posters has arrived and sometimes it's just nice to see good-looking people looking good.
Gangster Squad follows the true-life efforts of law enforcement agents Sgt. Jerry Wooters (Gosling) and John O'Mara (Brolin) who assemble their top agents to take down Mickey Cohen (Penn), a tough hood intent on taking over Los Angeles with a gun in hand during the 1940s.
So check out handsome men in suits and Emma Stone giving her best femme fatale, below.
