Enchantment, magic, families and fables - all markers of a Disney movie and writer-director Peter Hedges (Dan in Real Life, Pieces of April) was more than happy to add his latest effort, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, to the famed studio's roster.

Aussie actor Joel Edgerton (Warrior) plays Jim Green, salt-of-the-earth family man, married to the unflappable Cindy (Jennifer Garner, in perfect mommy mode), who are devastated that they can't conceive and are in for the shock of their lives when a box full of wishes and a  freak flash storm gifts them a young boy (CJ Adams)...with leaves growing out of his legs.

We had a chance to speak with Edgerton and Hedges in Toronto recently and got their thoughts on why being odd isn't so odd at all and how embracing what makes you different might make life a little more interesting.
