Their last collaboration was the hugely successful Alice in Wonderland - like, $334 million at the box office successful - and upcoming mystery Dark Shadows marks the seventh time Johnny Depp will act under the direction of everyone's favourite goth Tim Burton and the first look photos are just as spooky and bizarre as one would hope.

Based on the popular TV series of the same name, Depp gets alabaster skin and a Liza Minnelli-esque hairdo to play vampire Barnabas Collins, who has run-ins with all sorts of supernatural beings from monsters to witches and werewolves.

Like most Burton joints, this one also has Helena Bonham Carter and boasts a top-tier cast including Chloe Moretz, Jonny Lee Miller, Michelle Pfeiffer - who, thanks to makeup, looks old for once, Eva Green and newcomer Thomas McDonnell as Johnny Depp Jr., or young Barnabas Collins.
