Midnight's ChildrenToronto movie goers are in for a treat this week as director Deepa Mehta will drop by the Cineplex Odeon Varsity Cinema following the screening of her new film Midnight’s Children. Mehta will answer questions about the film and discuss the journey of bringing Salman Rushdie’s story from the page to the screen. Based on Rushdie’s 1980 novel, the film follows two children born moments after India’s independence from Britain and their upbringing in a country that is nothing like the India of generations past.

On Friday, November 9th and Saturday, November 10th, Deepa Mehta will hold a question and answer session with fans immediately following the 6:30pm screening of Midnight’s Children at the Varsity theatre in Toronto. The Q&A is free to attend for anyone purchasing tickets to the screening. Avoid disappointment and pick up your Midnight’s Children tickets to the 6:30pm screenings in advance.
