Based on the novel written by Jonathan Safran Foer, the film follows wunderkind Oskar Schell (Horn) and what happens when his dad, with whom he shares an intimate and whimsical relationship focused on wonders of the world both large and small, dies in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. From there, Oskar finds something that seems like a message left by his dad and embarks on a journey across the city to discover its meaning. Co-stars Sandra Bullock, Tom Hanks, Viola Davis and Max von Sydow, who earned an Oscar nom for his portrayal of a mute neighbour.

A Dangerous Method

Story: Cronenberg tackles Freud, Jung and the birth of psychoanalysis in this film based on the book "The Talking Cure," which finds the two great minds striking up a friendship after Jung's new hysterical patient Sabina (Knightley) exhibits repressed sexual desires bordering on the masochistic. Cronenberg is in his element here while Knightley pulls off a very physical performance as the smart and sexual Sabina.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
Starring: Jason Lee, David Cross, Jenny Slate

Director: Mike Mitchell (Shrek Forever After, Surviving Christmas)
Story: Those rascally Chipmunks accidentally get tossed overboard when their playing around on a cruise ship goes too far and take the Chippettes with them. They end up marooned on what seems like a tropical paradise but soon enough, they figure out their new utopia isn't as deserted as it seems in this sequel to the popular Chipmunks movie.
