Neil Young a TIFF no-show!

Neil Young In Concert 

Say it ain't so! Neil Young has officially cancelled his planned free public appearance at the international film fest.

A TIFF spokesperson relayed the news this morning that the legendary rocker will not be appearing as scheduled at the public screening of Jonathan Demme's second concert film about the Canadian icon, Neil Young Trunk Show.

His first, 2006's Heart of Gold, was met with rave reviews so you can bet the anticipation for this one has reached deafening levels among fans of music and film alike. Trunk Show was pulled from two 2007 concerts Young played in Philadelphia.

No reason has been given for the sudden change of plans but there are rumours a notable performer would take his place alongside Demme at the Yonge and Dundas Square spectacle later in the run of the festival.
