Beautiful Creatures2013 is going to be one magical year. With sleight-of-hand magicians taking the stage in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and Now You See Me to wow us with their trickery and an old-timey magic man who thanks to his great showmanship will become the ruler of the Emerald City in Oz: The Great and Powerful with the help of some witchy women. We’ll have lots of sorcery to contend with in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in August, but first we’ll encounter a family of “casters” in February’s Beautiful Creatures.

Based on the novel by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, magical teen Lena (Alice Englert) will have her powers claimed for either the Light or the Dark on her sixteenth birthday in Beautiful Creatures. We can’t wait to see the powers of Light and Dark battle it out as spells and magic come to a head in an epic showdown that would make Harry Potter proud.
