Red alert! The Enterprise is in major trouble in the latest Into Darkness poster
Earlier this week we got our hands on a new explosive-looking international poster and now, courtesy of Apple, we've got a brand new domestic poster for Star Trek Into Darkness to stare at and dissect. Not coincidentally, this latest one-sheet for J.J. Abrams's highly anticipated sci-fi sequel lands just days in advance of a new trailer, due next Tuesday.
The new poster veers sharply away from a promo campaign that has been largely focused on Benedict Cumberbatch's mysterious and villainous baddie John Harrison, and focuses instead on the USS Enterprise in great distress. The famous vessel is pictured plummeting through space to what looks like the Earth below and we'd bet a few Federation credits that though he may not appear, Star Fleet's latest enemy may have a little something to do with this new red alert situation.
