Apparently, when Adam Sandler approaches you about a new movie he's working on, you go for it, no questions asked. Or at least that's the way the cast for Hotel Transylvania felt when the former SNL funnyman and now box office magnet said he was cooking up something for the kids.
Hotel Transylvania, which premiered as part of the TIFF Kids programme before it hits theatres September 28, is a place for monsters of all shapes and sizes to unwind and relax without fear of running into those pesky, dangerous humans, until one knuckle-headed but well-meaning slacker dude (Andy Samberg) stumbles on the hideaway and promptly falls for Dracula's (Sandler) daughter (Selena Gomez).
Along for the sweet-and-spooky ride are fellow SNL alums David Spade and Molly Shannon with Steve Buscemi, Kevin James and Cee Lo Green lending their voices, and Fran Drescher putting her inimitable squawk to good use as Frankenstein's nagging wife in the comedy that brings old-school monsters to a new audience.
