TIFF12 Best DressedIn with a bang, out with a whimper seems to have been the un-official theme of TIFF 2012 – at least on the fashion front.

From Day 1 we witnessed a barrage of heavy high-style hits. Ka-Pow! That was the sound of international leading ladies Marion Cotillard and Emily Blunt kicking up their heels on the same night. Zoing! Is what happened when Eva Mendes topped off her sheer eye-popping dress with a très chic turban headband. Bam! Is what we thought when Diane Kruger and Olga Kurylenko walked the red carpet in fantasy fashions trimmed in fur and dripping with beads.

As the fest drew to a close it was clear there was no such thing as saving the best for last – we’d already seen it! So, which star eked out the rest of the competition to nab the number one spot? We’ll give you a clue: She may have made mistakes in the past, but her incredible look on the very first night was no absolutely accident.
