A Nightmare on Elm Street Freddy Krueger is raking in cash at the box office again.

A remake of the slasher flick A Nightmare on Elm Street led the weekend with a (US) $32.2 million debut, according to studio estimates. Released by the Warner Bros. banner New Line, the movie features Jackie Earle Haley as Krueger, a psycho killer who stalks and slays victims in their dreams.

Fright films typically drop steeply in their second weekends, since hardcore horror fans rush out to see them in the first few days. But the remake already is headed toward a solid profit after an opening weekend that roughly matched its modest production budget of just over $30 million.

Mickey Rourke With the muscular physique of a lifelong athlete, a face battered by boxing and repaired by Hollywood, Mickey Rourke looks almost as intimidating in person as he does in Iron Man 2, where he plays a villainous loner determined to destroy the hero with deadly electrically charged whips.

But when the 53-year-old actor walks into a suite at the Four Seasons Hotel to talk about the film, he brings a disarming secret weapon: The tiniest, cutest Pomeranian puppy. Rourke poses for photos with the fuzzy miniature, then the little dog he calls Mush contentedly curls up next to him.

Eclipse Okay so you may have to wait another 58 (!!) days until you can watch The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in its full, big-screen, surround-sound glory but these two new pics should sate your vampire-like hunger for at least a few hours.

Check out an image of Edward and Bella whispering sweet nothings into each others' ears - or more likely talking very seriously about the state of their relationship - and look on as the vampire army rise up from the water to...well, do whatever it is that vampire armies do.

Lynn and Vanessa Redgrave NEW YORK (AP) - Lynn Redgrave, an introspective and independent player in her family's acting dynasty who became a 1960s sensation as the freethinking title character of Georgy Girl and later dramatized her troubled past in such one-woman stage performances, has died. She was 67.

Her publicist Rick Miramontez, speaking on behalf of her children, said Redgrave died Sunday night at her Manhattan apartment. In 2003, Redgrave had been treated for breast cancer.

Her death comes a year after her niece Natasha Richardson died from head injuries sustained in a skiing accident and just a month after the death of her older brother, Corin Redgrave.

Roger Ebert Though Roger Ebert lost his ability to speak after surgery for cancer, he has found a new and powerful voice online. The film critic was chosen as person of the year by the Webby Awards.

The 13th annual Webbys, which celebrates Internet achievement, were announced Tuesday by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 550-member group of Web experts.

Ebert was singled out for "raising the bar for online journalism" with his blog on the Chicago Sun-Times' website.
