Day on Fire
Contemporary New York. Najia is a young Palestinian woman whose curiosity and research leads her to Mary, a middle-aged doctor. Quite by chance, Najia also strikes up a relationship with Shira, a young model she meets in a coffee shop. Judy is a singer recording a series of classic English and Scottish folk songs. Finally, there is a mysterious man who appears to have no connection to anyone else in the film: he gets dressed, walks in the streets and sits in parks. A normal day soon becomes less-than-ordinary for all of them: such is the nature of catastrophic events.
