Synopsis
In 1985, America is under the authoritarian control of President Fremont, an alarmist who has eliminated all civil liberties. After receiving strange visions from an entity he calls VALIS, Berkeley record store clerk Nick Brady uproots his family and moves to Los Angeles where he becomes a successful music company executive. There, with the help of a mysterious woman named Silvia and his best friend, science-fiction writer Philip K. Dick, Nick is drawn into a dangerous political and mystical conspiracy of cosmic proportions.
