Guillermo Del Toro, Frances McDormand and James Franco brought their films to #TIFF17 on Monday night!

Last night at TIFF, some of the festival's buzziest films screened, including The Shape of Water, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and The Disaster Artist.

This means that there were tons of notable actors and directors in town. Guillermo Del Toro brought his prize-winning masterpiece The Shape of Water to the festival along with his cast, Sally Hawkins, Michael Shannon, and Octavia Spencer. We were on the red carpet last night, check out the video below!

The Disaster Artist also screened last night as part of the Midnight Madness program, and director/star James Franco was on hand to discuss it with audiences afterwards. Dave Franco, Allison Brie and The Room director Tommy Wiseau also made appearances, making it one of the most memorable screenings of the fest so far. It was the most busy we had ever seen the Ryerson theatre for a midnight screening, and we'd guess it was the hottest ticket of the entire festival.

The always excellent Frances McDormand was also in town last night, promoting her new film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. It's a long title, but a simple premise: a woman goes to extreme measures to demand justice for the death of her daughter. It's the kind of darkly comedic fare director Martin McDonagh does best, and audiences seemed to love it. Watch the trailer below!
