Once Upon a Time (Mandarin w/Chinese and English subtitles)

This ambitious love story is based on the novel "Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms". The film follows a Goddess from the Heavenly Realms who is sent to the mortal world to undergo a test to become a high goddess. While she is there, she meets and falls in love with Ye Hua, and the two get married. However, an old enemy re-enters her life and threatens everything she has earned.

A Taxi Driver
(Korean w/ English subtitles)

Based on a true story, A Taxi Driver takes place in 1980 and follows a down-on-his-luck taxi driver who is hired by a foreign journalist to go to the town of Gwangju for the day.They arrive to find that the city is under siege by the military government, with the citizens protesting for freedom. This leads to a life vs. death struggle, and the Gwangju Uprising, a critical event in South Korea.

This political satire touches on the topic of sanitation in India, emphasizing on the eradication of open defecation in public spaces. The comedy also is in support of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a governmental campaign that is attempting to improve the conditions of the country when it comes to cleanliness.
