Paul Rudd gets a shot at redemption in Ant-Man's new trailer
When most blockbusters this summer are asking you to think big, one Marvel film is asking you to sign up for something altogether different. Though the special effects, supersuits, and villains are just as complicated as any superhero saga, Marvel’s Ant-Man plays at a much smaller scale.
We still get two pretty good jokes out of funnyman Paul Rudd, but Marvel has delivered a darker follow-up trailer for their newest hero.
It seems as if Ant-Man is this year’s Guardians of the Galaxy. We didn’t believe a movie with a gun-toting, talking raccoon could ever succeed at the box office, but look how wrong we all were. Ant-Man is very much in the same vein – Paul Rudd as a superhero? – but this latest trailer is quickly proving Ant-Man is worthy of its inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The trailer also ends on one of the best visual gags to ever be included in a superhero movie. Look out for the trains!
Ant-Man also stars Corey Stoll, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Judy Greer, Hayley Atwell, John Slattery, and Bobby Cannavale. It will play Cineplex theatres everywhere on July 17.
