Ramsay examines fate and family in We Need to Talk About Kevin

After almost nine-years away from the big-screen, Scottish director Lynne Ramsay returns with We Need To Talk About Kevin, a collage of memories and present day experiences examining the often troubling and somewhat disturbing relationship between a mother and her son.

Based on Lionel Shriver’s best-selling novel, Tilda Swinton portrays Eva, a once happy, vibrant woman - now broken - who questions whether her contributions as a mother are the reasoning behind her son Kevin’s evil behaviour.
