It’s been an exciting week in the world of movie news, and we’ve rounded up all the exciting things you might have missed in one convenient place.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is really spoiling us with the amount of teaser trailers they’re releasing, and this week saw the release of yet another. Check out the brief glimpse at the next instalment in the saga below, and catch The Last Jedi in theatres December 15th.
If you’ve always thought that Channing Tatum would be perfect as the voice of an animated Yeti, then you were right. Smallfoot just got a first teaser, and features Tatum as Migo, a member of a Yeti tribe who tries to convince his friends that elusive creatures called humans really do exist after all. Smallfoot hits Cineplex theatres September 28th.
12 Strong, the strange yet true tale of modern Western military personnel storming into battle on horseback also got a second trailer this week. Chris Hemsworth stars as the leader of the first squadron deployed to the Middle East after 9/11. They team up with local rebels, and use their cavalry tactics to catch the enemy off guard. Michael Shannon also stars. 12 Strong is in theatres January 19th.
We’re counting down the seconds until The Disaster Artist hits big screens, so we’re naturally pretty excited about the new clip from the film. If you’re not aware, The Disaster Artist is based on the wacky production process behind The Room, generally lauded as the worst film of all time. See it December 8th.
Surprise! Jurassic World isn’t done throwing prehistoric beasts at us quite yet. This week, they released the first GIF of Chris Pratt’s raptor-wrangler playing with a very cute baby dino in the sequel entitled Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The plot is still a secret, but we know Bryce Dallas Howard will be back along with JEFF GOLDBLUM (!!!) from the original Jurassic Park. See it in theatres June 22nd.
On the more awards-friendly end of the scale, there’s a new teaser for The Post, Steven Spielberg’s intense look at the takeover of the Washington Post by its first female editor. Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks star, of course, because when Spielberg calls, you say yes. See it January 12th.
The Shape of Water is another movie already making waves on the awards circuit, and it also got a new teaser this week. As huge Guillermo Del Toro fans, this is one of our most highly-anticipated movies of the year, and we cannot wait to see this dark fairytale come to life December 8th.

Another trailer for the very charming Peter Rabbit has also dropped, and it features just as many cute critters frolicking around the English countryside (and the city, it looks like) as we could ever want. James Corden voices the infamous rabbit, and frankly we can’t imagine anyone being a better fit. Peter Rabbit is in theatres February 9th.
