Jan 7th: NFL Wild Card

For three NFL playoff games leading up to Super Bowl LII special screenings will be hosted at Cineplex’s luxurious, adults-only VIP Cinemas, where football fans can cheer on their favourite team from ultra-wide, luxury recliners. Fans will also enjoy in-seat food and beverage service throughout the game from an expanded menu, which includes a wide selection of beer, wine and spirits as well as classic game-day favourites likes burgers, boneless wings and tacos….and of course, Cineplex’s famous popcorn. Teams and times to be determined. Showtimes for Wild Card and Divisional Round games are subject to change.

Jan 13th: The Opera House

The Opera House, a new film by award–winning documentary filmmaker Susan Froemke, surveys a remarkable period of the Metropolitan Opera’s rich history and a time of great change for New York. Featuring rarely seen archival footage, stills, recent interviews, and a soundtrack of extraordinary Met recordings, the film chronicles the creation of the Met’s storied home of the last 50 years, against the backdrop of the artists, architects, and politicians who shaped the cultural life of New York City in the ’50s and ’60s.

Jan 14th: Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel] I. presage flower (Japanese w/e.s.t.)

Emiya Shirou is a young magus who attends Homurahara Academy in Fuyuki City. One day after cleaning the Archery Doujou in his school, he catches a glimpse of a fight between superhuman beings, and he gets involved in the Holy Grail War, a ritual where magi called Masters fight each other with their Servants to win the Holy Grail. Shirou joins the battle to stop an evildoer from winning the Grail and to save innocent people, but everything goes wrong when a mysterious "Shadow" begins to indiscriminately kill people in Fuyuki.

Jan 18th: A Woman of No Importance

Olivier award-winner Eve Best (A Moon for the Misbegotten and Hedda Gabler) and BAFTA-nominated actress Anne Reid (Last Tango in Halifax) star in this new classically staged production of Oscar Wilde’s comedy directed by Dominic Dromgoole, former Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe. The first play from the Classic Spring Theatre Company’s Oscar Wilde Season, A Woman of No Importance will be captured live for cinemas from the Vaudeville Theatre in London’s West End.

Jan 22nd: Spice World in VIP

Climb aboard the double decker Spicebus and get ready for a madcap musical movie adventure with the sexy phenomenon's of pop - the Spice Girls. A humorous encounter with extra-terrestrials, a night in a haunted castle, and a moment of truth in a maternity ward are just a few of the funny escapades you'll enjoy as the girls gear up for their first live concert at London's Royal Albert Hall. Emma, Victoria, Mel B., Geri and Mel C. star with George Wendt, Richard E. Grant, Roger Moore and Meatloaf in this hip and sassy movie. There are performances of the Spice Girls mega-hits, and featured cameo appearances by Elton John, Elvis Costello and more!

Jan 25th: David Hockney at the Royal Academy of Arts

Widely considered Britain’s most popular artist, David Hockney is a global sensation with exhibitions in London, New York, Paris and beyond, attracting millions of visitors worldwide. Now entering his 9th decade, Hockney shows absolutely no evidence of slowing down or losing his trademark boldness. Featuring intimate and in-depth interviews with Hockney, this revealing film focuses on two blockbuster exhibitions held in 2012 and 2016 at the Royal Academy of Art in London. Director Phil Grabsky secured privileged access to craft this cinematic celebration of a 21st century master of creativity.
