We’re making holiday magic at Cineplex

This season, we’re celebrating the timeless traditions that bring us together with a short film that captures that special feeling we only experience during the holidays.

Arrive early and see the magic come to life in theatre, now playing as part of our Pre-Show before each feature presentation. (And see a sneak peek above!) The holiday fun doesn’t end there… Check out the guide below for more festive movies the whole family will love.

The Grinch
Now Playing

The Grinch’s story is retold in a vibrant new animated feature, with the mean one voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. Cynical, annoyed and completely over the holidays, the Grinch plots to steal Christmas away from his cheery neighbours. If you’re feeling just as grumpy as The Grinch himself, we’ve got a guide for getting you through the holidays so you can deal with all that obnoxious festive glee.

What would the Grinch do? Find out here!

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms
Now Playing

Everyone knows the story of The Nutcracker, but Disney’s reimagining of this classic tale takes it to magical new heights. Based on the original source material that brought us the timeless ballet, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms goes deeper and darker than you’ve seen before as we follow Clara, a young woman who finds the key to a mysterious parallel world.

Here’s why The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is set to become a magical new holiday tradition!

Anna & the Apocalypse
Now Playing

Zombies, singing and plenty of blood: We’ve never seen a Christmas movie like Anna and the Apocalypse. When zombies attack Anna’s small town of Little Haven just in time for the holidays, she and her friends must fight for their lives so that they can still celebrate Christmas with their loved ones. To help prepare you for a potential zombie apocalypse this holiday season, we learned how to turn Christmas items into tools for survival with the stars of the film.

Mary Poppins Returns
In theatres December 19th

Emily Blunt takes on the iconic role of Mary Poppins in this sequel which has her visiting a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks. Can you imagine a more perfect actress to fill the shoes of Julie Andrews? We spoke to both Emily Blunt and her co-star Lin-Manuel Miranda of Broadway fame about bringing these beloved characters back to the big screen.
